Coastal Watershed Council – Exploring San Lorenzo River Series

Did you ever wonder how the health (or lack of health) of the San Lorenzo River effects us here in Santa Cruz? I did! So on Saturday, March 10th, when the Coastal Watershed Council, in conjunction with the Santa Cruz Museum of Natural History, held its sixth in a series of ten educational walks along the San Lorenzo River, San Lorenzo Salmon, I joined up with about ten Santa Cruz residents to find out. It turns out, there’s a lot to know, and the CWC is the go-to organization to find out, and help make this waterway a healthy resource for my fellow Santa Cruzans and wildlife alike.

Watch this interview with Avel Bilgonsoy from the CWC to learn more about how we can all contribute to the health and beauty of this local natural resource.

How can you get involved, and make a difference in our community?

At CWC, volunteering, attending events (like I did), subscribing to their YouTube channel, and donating are just a few ways to get involved. Learn more about getting involved with CWC!
